India Lockdown
In an effort to flatten the curve of COVID-19, India has locked down the entire country, effective March 25 through April 14, at least. The impact on the transportation industry includes:
- All domestic flights have been suspended
- All factories, markets, shops, and places of worship are now closed
- Cargo aircraft (freighters) and freight trains are allowed to operate
- All cargo terminals (air and ocean) are working with a reduced capacity due to manpower restrictions
- Most public transport suspended
- India has asked its citizens to stay home and practice social distancing
Assisting Healthcare Workers & Industry
Masterpiece International is honored to have coordinated charter flights for a medical supply customer to help facilitate with the flow of goods to the healthcare system. The charter flights were met by Masterpiece’s Security Group for offloading. The medical supplies were cleared through Customs and FDA, loaded into trailers, and sealed for expedited delivery.
